Restock alert
Watch the text on a product page for a phrase such as In stock, and get an email when that phrase appears.
Watch for text, such as In stock
A restock alert is a text trigger. Give the monitor the words you care about, such as In stock, Add to cart or Ships in 2 days, and it sends an email when that text turns up on the page. The match ignores case, so In Stock and in stock both count.
The trigger fires on the change from absent to present: the phrase has to be missing in the stored version and present in the new one. A page that has said In stock all week sends one email, not one every hour.
Point it at the stock line
Selector mode reads one element, which is usually the availability line on a product page. A price change or a new review further down the page then does not fire the alert. Whole page mode works when the page has no stable element to point at, at the cost of reading the rest of the page as well.
The opposite direction works the same way: set the trigger to a phrase disappearing to hear when an item sells out.
What the alert does not do
It does not buy anything, hold a cart or reserve stock. It watches one public page, once per interval, with no cookies and no login.
A product page that builds its stock line in the browser can use the render tier, which runs every 30 minutes at the fastest. Free checks every 60 minutes at the fastest, 15 minutes on Pro and 10 minutes on Business. 3 monitors on Free, 25 on Pro, 100 on Business.
Try a page before you sign up
The preview tool on the home page (/) needs no account. Paste a public page address, add a selector if you want one, and read the exact text that would be watched. Up to 20 previews a day are allowed from one address.
The pricing page (/pricing) lists the plans, the interval each one allows and what each one costs. It reads the same plan configuration the server enforces, so the numbers match.
Restock alert questions
Will it alert me again while the item stays in stock?
No. A text appears trigger fires on the change from absent to present, so a page that keeps saying In stock sends one email and then stays quiet. If you also want to know when the item sells out, a second monitor on the same page can watch for the phrase disappearing, or the trigger on the first one can be set to any change.
