Privacy
This page says what Page Change Detector stores, how long it keeps it, and who can see it. It is short because the product keeps little, and every number here is read from the code that applies it.
What we store
A monitor stores the URL you added, whether you watch the whole page or one part of it, the interval you chose, and any trigger or ignore rule you set.
For each version of a page we store the readable text after the noise stripping, and a hash of that text. We never store the page's full HTML. The comparison runs on the hash, so a new version is kept only when the text really changed, and the change is recorded beside it.
Your history is private to your account. It is not published, and nobody else can read it.
How long we keep it
Versions and changes live for the history window of your plan: 30 days on Free, 180 days on Pro and 365 days on Business.
A scheduled cleanup job runs every 15 minutes and deletes versions and changes that are past the window, together with the pause and stop links that have expired. The newest version of a page is kept even when it is older than the window, because the next check compares the page against it; everything before it goes.
Your account and email
An account stores your email address and the credentials you sign in with. The address is verified before any monitor runs, and alert emails go only to that verified address. We never send an alert to an address you did not confirm and we never send to a third party. Every alert carries one-click links to pause the monitor or to stop alert emails altogether.
Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep the plan and the subscription status, so we know what your account is allowed to run.
The preview box
The preview on the home page needs no account and no email. It allows 20 previews a day per IP address, and to count them we store a hash of the address, never the address itself. The count covers one day and is not used for anything else.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising. It goes only to the services the product runs on: Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting, delivery and outbound email, and our own database and queue. Nobody else receives it.
Pages we fetch are fetched as described on the bot page: public logged-out pages, no cookies, no login, and no attempt to get around a block.
Takedowns and removal
If you own a site and want us to stop checking a page, or want a stored version removed, write to [email protected] and we will block the host. To close your account, ask us and the monitors, versions and changes go with it.
